When Do You Need a Feng Shui Audit?

Choosing a Building Site

By analyzing land forms, soil quality, and the direction and form of the site a Feng Shui practitioner can choose the site, which best serves the needs and desires of the client.

Designing a Building

By taking into account the time of construction, a Feng Shui practitioner can determine for the building a location and orientation, which will let it benefit from the most favourable influences of the surrounding land forms (water and mountain features). She can give advice of the best arrangement of both external and internal features of the building.

Choosing a New Home or New Business Premises

Feng Shui practitioner can investigate the suitability of premises taking into account both the general features of the location and the suitability for each individual planning to occupy the premises.

Landscaping

The environment of the building has a great effect on the well-being of the occupants. The location of a separate garage, a rock garden, a swimming pool or a fountain, of roads and pathways - all these may bring benefit or harm to the people.

Renovation

The principles of Feng Shui help in choosing the best locations, directions and colour schemes when building new extensions or renovating any premises, whether the renovation is as extensive as changing the location of doors, windows, and walls, or as small as painting a wall a different colour or rearranging the furniture.

Difficulties After Moving into a New Place

It is not uncommon, that after moving into a new location things seem to go wrong for no apparent logical reason. The Feng Shui of the location can be the source of such inexplicable changes in fortune.

Annual Check-up

Considering changes caused by the passing time is a crucial factor in Feng Shui practices. Usually an annual check-up is performed before the start of the Chinese New Year, in the beginning of February.

Date Selection

The success of any performance is dependent on the timing of its beginning. Tong Shu, the Chinese calendar, provides information on general auspicious and inauspicious days. Their accuracy can be compared to the astrological readings in magazines: they make only very generalized predictions. They do not address individual cases however.

A professional Feng Shui practitioner calculates most suitable days for different events by using the precise information about the date and the place of birth of the person. When the date selection concerns opening a business, beginning a construction, or moving to new premises, the direction and the construction time of the building are taken into account together with the individual's birth information.
